Cynthe L. Sims, PhD, HCLD (ABB)
Lab Director
Dr. Cynthe Sims received a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Texas Tech University where she was the recipient of numerous awards, including the National Science Foundation GK-12 Fellowship, SBC Chancellor’s Fellowship and Provost’s Scholars Summer Award.
Dr. Sims is a Board-Certified Clinical Laboratory Director – HCLD(ABB) with over 10 years of experience in both technical and management roles focusing on molecular diagnostics, precision medicine, clinical chemistry and toxicology. Additionally, she has over nine years’ experience working in CLIA, CAP and ISO-accredited clinical laboratories. She currently holds positions as Laboratory Director for several domestic and international clinical laboratories, including Gibson Diagnostics Labs, which she joined in 2019. She also serves as Vice President of Clinical Development at Blackhawk Genomics, Technical Director at Advagenix and President at Torreyana Corp., a genomics and clinical laboratory professional consultancy service.
Her excellent communication, organization, and writing skills are what make her an effective leader and strategic manager. We are proud to have Dr. Sims as part of Gibson Diagnostic Labs.
